Are Beosound 5 and Beomaster a unique pair?

Is it possible to replace a Beosound 5 connected to a Beomaster 5 with another Beosound 5 without any problem?

Or are they a "unique pair" that can´t be replaced?

I believe the Beosound 5 is merely the display / user input unit for a beomaster, so unless I'm missing something, they should be interchangeable.

I can absolutely confirm that the BeoMaster 5 and BeoSound 5 Head Unit / Display are not a matched pair.  Any BeoSound 5 head unit will work with any BeoMaster 5.

I can now also confirm that it works fine.

No problems to change the Beosound 5 unit.
