I've read through various TX2 posts and not found the exact answers I was looking for any suggestions welcome.
I have recently purchased a nice TX2 which I'm happy with, nice sound and looks cool.
Two queries:
1) The front fascia (the thin strip with 'play' on the right hand side) was stuck on with hot glue sometime in the distant past, as it appears the three fixing pegs were broken at some point. The hot glue has given up, so I'm wondering if there is any possibility of getting a replacement part from anywhere? The broken off pegs still appear to be in the holes, so might be a bit tricky to get them out. If not any suggestions for reattachment? I'm thinking sticky foam pads as I think this will allow the right hand end to still be free floating so the 'play' button still functions.
2) Arm return - when finishing a record the arm occasionally doesn't return all the way back, stopping quite close to the edge of the record. Whilst this isn't a huge issue (a nudge' sends it right back) I'm concerned about damaging the needle when the record is removed if I forget to check and nudge it. I mentioned this to a service company when getting some other parts and they suggested a cam of some sort might be worn. Does this sounds likely or is it a lubrication issue? I have a service manual (yet to read it) but any real experiences might be easier for me to understand :-)
I'm enjoying getting out the old vinyl again, including one I'm playing on!
Thanks for your observations in advance.

The foam pads for the front sounds like a good idea, the arm return is probably cleaning and lubricating, open the deck and clean off all old grease and oil, then lubricate everything, the belt for the arm motor may be too loose, but also an original belt looks a little loose, so try clean and lub first.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Hi and thanks for the reply, I was hoping that it might be a lubrication issue. I'll see if I can find out how to get into it without messing it up.
The front panel I'll stick back on until a replacement comes up (never probably!)
Whoops double post!
