I have an old Beolink PC2/ Beoport that is showing a very strange behavior as it is mute when is reproducing the PC signal ( but it works for the signal coming from ML). Playing with connector I found out that extracting the connector partially I get a signal on both loudspeaker. Before it seems to work only on a channel.

With the help of a colleague we can rule out a problem on the connection ( cable and board) ( we even tested with an oscilloscope). However I have no schematics and I was wondering if somebody knows how to find them

Regards

Hi Alfio,

If you're getting a (presumably mono) signal out of both speakers when the plug is slightly pulled out, but only one channel when it is fully inserted that points to either your output signal from the PC or the cable between the PC and BeoPort being the issue as it confirms both channels of the BeoPort are actually working once fed with a signal.

I would check both again before proceeding any further.

Martin.
