Just switched on my Beosound 9000 this morning and the link system seems to have died...

I have a Beovision 7-40, Beosound 9000, Avant rf 28 and a Masterlink TV all connected via a Masterlink junction box.

Current system has been working together for some years and has now suddenly stopped talking to each other.

All the bits work independently but with the speakers on the Beovision there is no sound for the CD, no dvd for the bedroom..

Any suggestions on possible solutions?

Hi there

Firstly power everything off and back on again.

Secondly I would reset all option codes on everything.

Good luck

Thank you for the quick reply.

Have tried the power down option on everything.

As far as options go the system was set up by my local dealer and he did not share them with me.

On reading i think in the main room I should set the Beovision 1 to v opt 2 and the Beosound to A opt 0. Not sure about the other TV's in link rooms though? Assume still v .opt 2?

Thnaks again

No problem

In your setup you will have a audio master and a video master which may be option 0,1,2,4 depending on where speakers are connected etc

Link devices are normally option 6

Have a look for setting option settings

Have tried resetting options but nothing working.

Is there a way of checking that the Master Link connections are actually working?

Disconnect all sources from the mains (not only power off). Then wait a few minutes and connect them again to the mains, videomaster first.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestion.

I tried this but still no luck but I was sitting in the room with the link TV and in frustration switched it between analogue and digital very quickly a few times. Suddenly the digital from the main Beovision appeared for 5 seconds then went again. I could not replicate this but have checked frequencies in case this was the problem.

Generally speaking nothing can make the main Beovision 1 react to the linked equipment. The BV1 works OK by itself and correctly fires up all the attached speakers - 2 8000's, 2 6000's, a Beolab 2 and a centre 7-4.

The Avant rf may be fighting to be master

disconnect that from the ml system and reboot just the 7-40 and 9000

if those two pieces then work let us know then I'll take you through the next steps

now program the avant rf into option 6 WITHOUT the ml in

so

7-40 option 2 now working?

bs9000 now working?

Avant rf option6 now working?

if no other products are avant crt or avant based BeoSystem then just put them in option 6 and power cycle them

then go to fridge and poor a nice cold glass of your favourite beverage!

or if you are in England make a cup of tea Smile

All done as told. Seems to be all systems go now.

Thanks very much for the help.

In slightly cold Derbyshire, England so a hot sweet tea and a quick rub down with the Financial Times.

Great thanks again to you and Seanie_230
