Hi everyone,
my BM8000 has some issues with its turn-on and I was wondering if that is related to one of the relays?
when any of the keyboard buttons is pressed I can hear the relay(s) clicking but it won’t turn on.
the only way of turning it on is to hold the chosen botton down and after some more relay clicking it turns on ???
it is a US model, connected to a 500W step-down transformer.
Could someone give me some pointers before I start dismantling the BM - Many Thanks 👍👍
regards
ALF
Bad relay or cracked solder joints on the relay board.Perhaps an intermittent resistor.

Thanks Martin,
i will follow up on this 👍
Hi Martin & interested Members,
I ordered two replacement relays - Omron G2R-1A-E-DC24 - checked all soldering on the relay board
incl. the two power resistors but it did not fix the issue.
looks like the next step is getting on to Board 6 and checking the components of the delay circuit ?!
to briefly recap: the BM will turn on after a couple of relay clicks but not first thing !
any suggestions are most welcome
To clarify: the BM will turn on after a couple of relay clicks but only if the key of choice via keyboard or remote is kept pressed !!
