help with beolink passive.

Hi All.. 

I got my hands on a beolink passive amp , and i wantet to use them with my ceiling built in speakers., but im having a bit of problem.. 

I am assuming that i am able to use the power link as a line in right ? 

and on that powerlink im connecting +5v on nr 4 and gnd on nr 7.. 

shouldnt that turn the beolink passive on ??? please correct me if im wrong.. 

im using a powerlink splitter , where one is for the 5v trigger and the other for audio in from a minijack to pwr link.. 

Also , when power is plugged ind the amp 230v, there is a red diode inside it, should that turn green when the amp is operating and stay red on standby or is it just allways red ?
