Dear members,

I still use an old Avant with DD module and Pentas as fronts and 4000s as rears. Is it worthwhile adding a Beolab 2 to the setup? Or do the Pentas already have enough bass? Just wondering because I've read times and times again that the Beolab 2 is not good for listening to music.

Greetings,

Kai

I have it in my setup. I like it.

I use the BL2 for music and love it.  You can feel the bass and it adds a lot to the overall sound/feel of music - especially live recordings.

I use a bl2 with bl1s and bl12s for music and it adds a lot to both set ups.

The woofer is also only 8".

When I had my woofers in my car in my younger days, everything from 12"-15" would be what people call slow. Rap music have this soundsignature anyway, and is the only music that needs 12" and upwards.

My double 10" focal sounded tight.

I find everything I have read about the BL2 to be slow as jibberish.

Just get one, if you are unhappy you can always sell it for the same price.
