This morning my beosound 1 played a CD up to track 8 then stopped (12 track cd).  I tried another CD and got to track 3 when it stopped.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

I'm doing well at the moment as my beosound 9000 is not working & waiting for collection which should have been last friday,  I'm still waiting for my Beovision 11 (another thread) to be repaired which should have been tomorrow but I've just received an email to say that the 'valise' has not arrived and so tomorrow is cancelled!

Anyone know how to remove a jinx?

Thanks Bramble for making me Smile!

I have just dug out the CD cleaner so fingers crossed that's all it is.    Chris

Chris

It does sound like a dirt/dust issue, due to it playing then stopping

My bs1 did the same.....local repair Guy stripped and cleaned cd mech all for £ 30-40 (ex b&o)

Good luck

Hi Bramble

Cleaning kit appears to have done the trick.  Funny how track 8 (Lightning Seeds) is 'My Best Day' Big Smile

About 7 years ago I had to take my bs1 into a B&O repairer in Rennes.  They had to change the CD unit due to dare I say it  'dust'  it cost me 250 euros as it was just out of guarantee by 1 month!  ouch!   I live in the middle of farming countryside so it's not surprising - think I better close some windows & of course use the CD cleaner more frequently Whistle!

Glad to hear. My bs1 is based in the kitchen ( wall mounted ) above a radiator.

Guy who repaired/ cleaned it, suggested I put a radiator shelf to reduce dust rising with the heat. since then no issues and less dustBig Smile
