I have done some researched but still a little bit confusing so I hope someone could clarify it for me.

I have a DAC which has a balanced XLR output. I connect it to Beolab 3 using RAC. So I had to use XLR to RCA adapter. I assume this simply just change the wiring in the adapter. The problem is quite often I hear humming noise/ground loop with this setup.

After research I came across DI box which converts balanced to unbalanced output. It is a proper converter rather than an adapter. Will this solve my inference noise problem? would DI box actually make much different in this case as I understand that even though my signal starts off as a balanced but at the end it will be unbalance anyway either using the adapter or the converter.

Thank you you in advance.
