Greetings BEOpeople

I recently picked up a beovision lx2800 but it did not come with a remote

I had to do a bit of repair work but it lights up now but I cannot get it out of standby

I have no idea what the picture on the set is like and if it will even turn on

Buying a remote for it will set me back about 30 quid which may not seem like much to some people but I do not exactly have 30 quid for a bet at the current time

I have noticed "video terminal" remotes floating about the internet for pennies but I do not know if they are compatible with beolink 1000 devices

Will the "video terminal" work with my new telly?
Is there a way to power it up without a remote?
Is there any universal remotes that work with the set with a hong kong pricetag?

Cheers

The older Video Terminals (chocolate bar) will not work with your Beovision LX2800.
You need a Beolink 1000 or a Video Terminal in same design as the Beolink 1000.
Alternatively one of the cheap "replacements" but they are really nothing like the real thing.

It will also operate your future Beosystem stereo setup... Wink
