im the relatively new owner of an eBay bargain Beovision 4. I'm trying to setup puc control on it but having issues - most likely because I have an Internet sourced manual for later versions of the 4.

since this Beovision 4 only has one puc control socket that part is simple , and I have the stb plugged into the vtape SCART socket (and menu option set vtape to Stb and a random box from the list just to see if I can see anything from the it blaster cable).

are there any gotchas to puc control on this type Beovision 4 (2004 version) that would stop the tv from even flashing anything on the ir blaster (no matter the right codes for the box)?

I've got a bv7-40 with two boxes attached so am familiar withe concept and setup - it's the specifics for this tv that seem to be the problem - or a faulty puc cable.

if I can be confident I have the TV correctly setup to use the cable then I can confidently start swapping out it cables....

if anyone knows where I can get a type 9255 specific manual that would help

cheers all !

Your message is headlined Beovision6, but you talk of Beovision4. Which model are you seeking help for?

The model 9255 is a Beovision6 made for the Australian market. I suggest that you plug the IR transmitter into the TV and watch the transmitter with a digital camera ( an iPhone is ideal) to see if it is radiating when a command is sent via the STB selection.
