Hi..

I have been offered a cheap, well looked after, set of BL4000, but one of them is suffering from the "no green light, but red light" problem..

In the service bulletin, this is mentioned...

Shortcircuited windings on std.by transformer

Short-circuited primary windings on 1T1stand-by transformer p/n 8013582

Symptom: No light in the stand-by diode and no switch on from stand-by

Cause: Short-circuited primary windings on 1T1 stand-by transformer due to peaks on the mains.

Solution: Replace 1T1 part no.: 8013582.

From serial no.: 13750371 an isolating foil has been introduced between the primary windings which will solve this symptom.

Power LED remains red when switched on

Symptom
Speaker enters protection mode just after being switched on and power LED is red.
Only an issue with hybrid STK4152-3.
Cause
The module is entering protection mode due to DC on the speaker terminal.
Solution
Please check the drivers with a ohm meter, as a defective tweeter can trigger the speaker's DC protection circuit to activate protection mode.

Anybody know if this trafo is available as a spare part still ? I have not een the serial number yet, so it could still be the tweeter issue, but that should still be available I guess ?
