Beolab 4 replacement?
x:________________________
180mm x 180mm x 120mm
its listed on other websites too and wad discussed here. I grabbed this from another side, it would not be that portable with those dimensions but with the bluetooth stereo mode it might just be a el cheapo wisa alternative. That could play out nicely with the younger crowd
Why start a new theead for the S3, when there is already one?
Makes it hard for Beoworld-newcomers to find what they are looking for.
Here is the 'original' thread - everything we know by now is there:

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Why not? There are multiple threads for all products. Beoworld would be pretty boring if there was only one thread per item!
If I were a new Beoworlder and saw posts about rules and no multiple threads, I think I'd be scared away

I was not asking for 'rules'.
I was just pointing at the fact, that the more threads you have on the same subject, the harder it can be to find, what you are looking for.
More threads for pointless comments! If I was a new user and saw this forum heavily dominated by one user I would be scared away too. Sometimes posting less is better. Let people have a good time and not get 'told off' all the time!

Tubs already full - bugger.

I really like it. Would it be possible to set up a 3.1 setup (center from BV, BL2, two S3 as L and R)?
Looking at the connections I really doubt that this will be a NL capable product. Most likely only bluetooth with line-in/out. No PL, no Ethernet.
elephant:@BB68Interesting connections on the left. Is that like a power link daisy chain ?

elephant:Fine - but what's the line out for if not a second S3 ?
Most likely it is there for connecting a second S3. No powerlink, only normal line-out.
I'm excited to try these around my house!
vlohjr1:A missed opportunity could easily have been specced up to be an bl3 replacement with wisa powerlink with stands/placement options would sell like hot cakes
BUT It's a PLAY product TOTALLLLLLLLY Different market than the person who buys BL3!!! This is the Smartphone generation, they are not going to spend 3K on a pair of speakers. They are into things on the move. They are worldly - they are spending their money on travel and experiences! Everything is portable to them and that truly is a great thing :)
How about one with a small DAB receiver built into it !
oh and for it to look B&O elegant too.

vlohjr1:No I mean I would consider higher price point s3 equivalent would look awesome with bl19s
What would be cool if they somehow could integrate these into multiroom ....
Sooner or later we should see beoplay products that can do that .... since the essence has bluetooth, maybe thats happening down the line even though range might be an issue
Could these be screws to adapt floor stands?

BeoBoy68: vlohjr1: No I mean I would consider higher price point s3 equivalent would look awesome with bl19s Agree In the past, BeoLab 3 was in design harmony with the BeoLab 2. B&O portfolio need new BeoLab 3. The BeoPlay S3 replaces the BeoLab 4 PC version.

I think they would be well suited on a desk plugged in to a computer :-)
I hope they really have Bluetooth as I can only see the - + and maybeBO buttons...
