Nice! I do have an apple watch but don't have a compatible device to control. :(

I'd like an Apple Watch App of the BeoRemote App... Perhaps it's in the works.

I'm actually surprised that MLGW and BeoMusic Apps are already on Apple Watch, but not the basic BeoRemote App.

The update is not yet in the Australian store.

I will check and download and test my essence from my apple watch in 10 hours timeBig Smile

I still can't see an update of the BeoMusic App that contains support for the Apple Watch.

However I have just tested the Watch's Bluetooth capability to my Essence mark 2 and not surprisingly it worked.

In order below:

-- H8

-- Essence

-- Apple TV mark 3

It will be available at the end of September according to the release I received today from the publicity and press rep.

It is available now, installed it and tested shortly with my A9.

Looks like SW developers for B&O have zero time available for testing. Big Smile Works erraticaly WHEN it works, also can't choose sound source (TuneIn/Deezer/iOS Library) or at least the UI is so intuitive I failed.

However, I can clearly see potential - it is very convenient to have at least basic controls on your wrist.

This, unfortunately seems to be a common theme and finding.  It's very disappointing for great products and ideas be let down by erratic functionality because of poor software.

@elephant: if you choose your Essence Mk2 as a device, can you then also choose music source ie. TuneIn/Deezer/Spotify etc?

I was able to JOIN the Essence to the BV8(BLC) source and adjust volume in that room

Apart from JOIN by doing a 3D force touch I could put it into STANDBY

From STANDBY I had to use the Watch's pair to play music.

In music mode (not the B&O app, just watchOS 2.0) I could (xxx) get cover art and track list of what is on the phone through the GLANCE approach

By going to the Music App on the watch I could get more control

But not quite what you wanted

Of course than could just be a user error Surprise

Edit: and there was a typing error Sad I have deleted the incorrect "not" with "(xxx)" -- sorry

Thanks a lot elephant, I believe it is clear now.

So, it was not intended at all (at least in first version of AppleWatch app) to be able to select music source. That's why I couldn't find one. Big Smile

You select which music you'd like to play via BeoMusic on iPhone/iPad and then just turn volume up/down, and use pause/play/next/previous commands on what you play currently.

Well, it's a solid start and certainly practical like I said before.

Ideally, B&O complication would become available one day for more busy/data oriented faces. Also, would be cool to be able to choose music source.

And like in your case, I was not able either to get covers nor track list (but that I now anticipate was not part of the original plan for v1 app anyway).

Hi,

they should have focused on the bugs in the BeoMusic-App instead of toying around. The BeoMusic-App for the Apple watch feels like a very early beta-version. very slow, laggy and not intuitive (for me - I guess)

It takes much longer to use the Apple watch to lower the Volume by tapping like crazy on the watchdisplay than using the Beoremote One.

Cheers Beroli

Like so much of B&O

They deserve much more praise from people in general:

- from their beginning leaders in technology and innovation

- leading with remotes

- tangential

- multi room

- integration

- automation

- design

- user interface

I'd love for BeoRemote to be on the Apple Watch as well.

I'd love it if they gave some love to Android as well because there are more than enough users, too!

And I don't understand why most of the news only seem to be published on external sites like that shitty facebook thing instead of the companys OWN website!?

If you're not using the link converter and can see the volume slider on the screen, use the digital crown to adjust the volume level, works much better :)

Yes that was a pleasant discovery

However for me there was a lag

That's with a BLC driving an ATV/ BV8

Yeah, from what i can work out it looks like its due to latency issues with the Apple Watch or something (i've seen similar with other apps as well)... It looks like when you adjust the level, the slider dims down until you stop adjusting the slider and then shortly after the volume level will change.

I guess its because the watch can't continuously tell the speaker to adjust its volume level or something so the watch waits until you've stopped making changes. the iPhone app does the complete opposite though.

Once you get the hang of it, its quite handy being able to just pop back to the app when you want to skip tracks, pause music or adjust the volume but other than that it doesn't do much else.

The all standby feature from the main list of products (3D touch) is quite handy as well!
