I have just bought a Samsung Smart TV (9000 series) and connected the optical output directly to Beolab 5. I followed the set-up procedure in the Beolab 5 manual to Option 4 with Beo4 remote control. It is great to get the audio from the TV to play through these speakers. But when i tried to turn on the Beocenter 2 afterwards, i could not get it to work.
I then changed the setting back to Option 0. While I could get the TV audio to come through the Beolab speakers, the Beocenter's CD play has to remain on for that to happen!
I hope someone can teach me to work the system with Option 4 set up.
