Anybody know where I might be able to find a reasonably priced replacement dust cover for a Beogram 4004 I recently picked up on ebay? The hinges are fine, but the cover is a mess.Thanks.
B&O equipment: Beomaster 2400, Beogram 4004, Beogram 8000, Beogram 8002, Beogram TX2, Beosound 9000 MK II
A mess in what way? It can be polished if you mean it's scratched. If it's cracked then it will need replacing but finding good ones is very difficult.
Welcome to Beoworld by the way and thanks for your Gold support. We need more like you.
Dave.
New ones available from Frede at Classic Audio in Struer.

Yes but at what price? Approx 190 EUR. For 190 EUR or so you can find a non-working BG4000 series with good lid, buff up the lid and have some spare parts.

I have one of his lids for my 3000 - I did have one made myself and sent him one and he later commissioned a better one and kindly sent me a sample. Better than the original by miles and beautifully made. Highly recommended. Remember the originals will be 40 years + old.

Lee:Dave please show me where I can purchase a Beogram 4000 for €190 working or not. I'll buy it right now.
hehe...I think there has been some miscommunication of the original request. The thread is requesting a Beogram 4004 dustcover, not a Beogram 4000 dustcover. While they are the same size, they are not the same. The tint color is quite different and, of course, the aluminum trim will have different lettering. Frede supplies replacement Beogram 4000 dustcovers and aluminum trim. At a cost between $200 - $300 USD I don't think that is a bad price for a new, mint dustcover. For a Beogram 4002/4004 dustcover, I agree with Dave. First see if the dustcover can be sanded and polished to look new again. That is providing there isn't physical damage like cracks or missing trim. If the dustcover is beyond repair then you want monitor sites like Ebay for a donor Beogram 4002/4004. The dustcovers on those turntables just have "Bang & Olufsen Of Denmark" on the aluminum trim. The Beogram 4000 aluminum trim has "Beogram 4000" and "Bang & Olufsen A|S By Appointment To The Royal Danish Court". It is possible to pick up a donor Beogram 4002/4004 for less than $200 occasionally. I must say though, I hate seeing another restorable Beogram used as a donor. A couple of years ago I was able to buy just the dustcover so they do come up for sale occasionally.sonavor
