Hi,
I am hoping that someone here might own the Beolit 15 and could let me know the dimensions of the retail box, including gross weight. Also, your opinion on whether it could be shipped safely in just the retail box would be valuable.
I have a friend who lives in Denmark and can get me a Beolit 15 cheap (he knows someone who works for B&O). However, it seems he can't get hold of the box dimensions and I don't want to press him as he's doing me a favour. Shipping rapidly gets expensive with package volume, and so I don't want to go blindly ahead with the purchase only to find that the shipping from Denmark means it's no longer a bargain.
As mentioned earlier, it would also be useful to know if the retail packaging would be suitable for shipping as-is; having to put the box inside another would increase the cost considerably.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Justed shipped one - but forgot the measure the box. But, the "display box" with the carrying handle comes in another brown box (double boxed) to protect it while shipping, and as your friend works for B&O he/she should be able to get one easily. The BeoLit 15 is well cushioned inside the first box, no worries.

Thank you guys, that's very helpful.
Dave: great information, thank you. Perhaps I should have it shipped in the double-box, after all. Glad to read that it's not much larger than the display box; assuming the Beolit 15 is packaged similarly, that is. Is there a gross weight printed on the outer box, by any chance?
It's a typically great-looking product, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it!
I forgot to check weight. I'll have a look.
Dave.
The two boxes, with protective cover for Beolit, paperwork etc is 735g. The Beolit with both cables is approx 2900g. Combined weight is actually 3700g when weighed together (to the nearest 50g or so) No gross weight stated on the box.

Hi Dave,
That's really helpful, thank you. I'll start pricing up some couriers and hopefully it will still be worth it for me
