Hi everybody.

I am a newbie to this and sure hope someone on this forum can help me with my problem.

I have for years been using my Beomaster 3300 and are very happy with it, I have a small link system set up in a couple of rooms using MCL2. It works perfect.

Recently I got a Beosystem 5000. I wanted to use it instead of my beomaster 3300.  I didn´t realize until I had brought it home that it doesn´t support MCL2 but instead MCL82.

Reading a lot of posts on the net i started searching for the IR Code Converter that allows you to use Beolink 1000 remote with the Beosystem 5000. I was lucky and found one fairly cheap very quickly. I got a powersupply and hooked it up. Works flawlesly Smile

Then I tried to connect it to my linksystem. Of course it didn´t work. I suspect the Ir code converter only converts the signals coming from the transciever (connected directly to the converter) and not from the MCL system.

My questions are therefore:

1)  Can one use the Beolink 1000 using MCL82 and the Ir code converter?

2) Are there any way to get the Beolink 1000 signal coming through the MCL2 system into the Ir code converter so it actually converts the codes before passing them onto  the beosystem 5000

Any good suggestions or comments will be much appreciated.

Cheers

Tobias
