please help.  I have just got these the tv, electric stand and what I assume is a 7.1 sound lab.

I have connected these three together, by power into soundbar, which has a second cable from soundbar to tv. Power in on the tv is bottom left on the left hand panel at the rear. The stand has a 5 pin connector to the back of the tv.

Standby light comes on, red in the right hand corner.  So I am hopeful that I have got the power supply set up correct.

DVD wont open. Stand wont move. If i press tv or dvd on the remote, the standby light goes off but nothing else happens. If i press stand - nothing happens.

I am assured this was all working before being sent to me.

Have i got the connections wrong?

Is there a reset button on the TV?

I have two remotes, beo 4 i think they are called.  One is old and has just tv,cd,dvd, menu an aux as options, the other is newer and ive had for a while.

anything anyone can suggest to cure or work out what is wrong.

Any and all contributions gratefully received....

If the red stdby led is on you connected right.

when you press tv and there is no more red dot to be seen, and nothing happens try to press menue.

menue should open. If not try to press dtv or sat depending on your remote control.

picture there everything is fine. If not try to press menue.

tv than menue or dtv/sat than menue.

if no picture is coming on these situations your tv is broken.

If the tv is on ( no red dot on the bottom right corner ) and you press menu once, twice or dvd tray doesn’t open when pressing the button next to it, the tv has a faulty eeprom. Not available anymore. Skip it, that’s my advice.

Does the DVD tray open when you touch the button when the BV7 is in standby?

The BV7 mk3 doesn't have a eeprom you can order. Settings are stored and software is flashed. The mk1 and 2 has an eeprom you could order.

Ive tried tv And dvd buttons on the remote and the tv just goes off standby and nothing happens except the red light goes out.  In either standby or on, the dvd button does not open the tray.
