Hello,

Is it possible to connect and control the V8000 with any of these newer TV's? If so, how?

Thanks, Beoaus.

Hi Beoaus

There is no ir receiver on the BeoCord V8000. All control was via the TV and a fully connected scart lead. I don't know of any way to control the video on these new models of TV.

I very much doubt that the picture quality from a V8000 would be enjoyable on any of those Beovisions.

Some times a videotape is played back for ‘nostalgic’ reasons - and you must want to live with the ‘bad’ quality.

On the Avant 2014 there is a multi (analog) input port, that you could use.

By the other mentioned tv’s you could try with a Scart to HDMI converter - and control the V8000 manually on the device.

These are pretty cheap - the ‘fun’ won’t cost you too much ;-)

There is a tv - and there is a BV
