Just an odd behavior but I can't seem to change the IP address of the Jukebox from 192.168.1.120.

This is the address that initially showed up for it when I initially set it up wirelessly for testing under DHCP.

Now that I've got it wired permanently I can set up a manual IP on the Sound Heart but the Jukebox keeps changing back to the old IP no matter what IP I set it up manually.

Is the unit just clinging to it's first address or is it somehow hard-wired in?

Has anyone else seen any odd behavior like this or know a work around?

Have you done the following in the settings page on your Moment, and chooses an IP-address outside the DHCP range.

Chris,

I noticed that hidden SSIDs are not supported by Moment.

What an odd situation, knowing that hiding SSIDs is a security enforcement.

My plan is to hardwire the soudheart, but what about the jukebox?

If I hide the SSID after the settings are adjusted, does the Moment keeps it's Wifi connexion?

Kind regards,

Yann.

Thanks Guys.  It was neither of those things.

It's a little hard to tell but it looks like it added the new address but continued using and transmitting/recieving on the old address with dual addresses untill around midnight.

Could be a feature of some kind.  But all is well this morning.

Good things come to those who WAIT.

Thanks.

Indeed hidden SSID is not supported, and the Jukebox has to be on wireless... always.

I never tried to do this, it looks interesting if it will keep the hidden SSID? If not you could use to create, if your hardware is able to do it, a subnet for your B&O NL-products and let the firewall secure it. Many managed switches can do this and routers also, I mention Cisco, Zyxel, HP, Ubiquiti...

If you have given the Jukebox a static IP in the menu and the Moment is playing, rebooting your AP results in the Jukebox loosing this static IP and immediate connecting with a new one from the DHCP range.

Have to try it if this happens also when the Moment is in standby, but I presume it will. I think I will in future pass on a static, and leave the Jukebox further assign to the DHCP range. In a way its of no importance if its static or not in a home environment.

Or give it a MAC reservation, as I did now.
