Hi guys!
Finally connected a projector to my BeoVision 9/BeoSystem 3 :)
Works like a charm, but the Beo4 doesn't work (of course) when the screen is in front of the tv (and blocks the ir eye). Can someone help me with what I need to get this working? Do I need a BeoLink eye or some kind of ir eye? (Does someone have a part no to what I might need?)
Altough not a must, I'm also wondering about if it is possible to turn the projector on/off and screen up/down with the Beo4 without much hassle.
Thanks!
Regards,
Christian

Hi Christian,
Yes, you need to plug an IR eye into the IR-IN socket on the BS3 and mount this somewhere it will not be covered when the screen is down.

This can be done, but how easy this is to achieve and what additional hardware is required will depend on the model of screen and projector you are using. If you projector is one for which there is a PUC available, then an IR emitter can be plugged into the IR 1+2 socket to control the projector. Relays can be attached to the CINEMA socket to control the screen. Then when you enter cinema mode (using LIST->FORMAT->0 on the Beo4) the projector would turn on, the screen would lower, and the video output will switch from the BV9 screen to the projector.
Martin.
Hi Martin,
thanks for your reply :) I guess this will do the trick? Do you know if there is only one type?

Yeah, it's one of those you need, but there are a number of different types so best to check with your dealer for the correct part number.
Ok, thanks! :)
BTW, do you work with B&O?
