Hi,
I'm curious about the Beolink NL/ML converter.1.) NL/ML Converter as VideomasterAs it has auto sensing on its audio inputs and I can connect local Powerlink speakers, I would like to know if I can use it for my non B&O TV to integrate it and use local speakers. It seems to be programmable to listen to the source command "TV".What I think of: Connect my TV to the Beolink NL/ML converter, connect a Beolab 7-2 to the Powerlink outputs of the converter, program the converter as an Videomaster, connect it to my Masterlinksetup (contains only one Audiomaster) and use an external IR-eye to switch it on with the "TV" command and control the volume of the Beolab 7-2.This setup should give me the following:- listening to the TV audio ONLY through the Beolab 7-2 attached to the converter- distribute the audiosignal of the TV via Masterlink to other rooms. Will this work? Will the audiomaster be switched on, too when I hit "TV" on the Beo 4 for the Beolink NL/ML converter (Hopefully NOT)?
2.) Light commandsI've read that the Beolink NL/ML converter can transmit Light/Control commands, too. BUT: Can it pass those command into a Masterlinksystem, too or only NL? I have a MLGW and it would be great if the converter can pass the Light commands to the MLGW!3.) SoftwareupdatesThe manual mentions a servicetool: Can I update the converter myself or is the servicetool required?
