Apple Music and Essence (mk1)

Are anyone using the Essence together with Apple Music?

i am wondering if pushing play at any moment will start the last used playlist from Apple Music as it does with Spotify...?

Really? Nobody?

I just tried the following:

I started with my own music on iTunes at the iMac. It played on my Essence 1st gen. Then I switched to Beats 1. The airplay sign disappeared and the music played on my computer. With BBC world service the same happened. I am afraid that an Apple Music subscription doesn't change anything.

My next try will be with an iPhone ...

PS: I don't have Apple Music subscribed

Ok. Thanks for trying that out.i decided to stay with Spotify, as apple music doesn't seem to have any connect feature at all.

And I have to admit that I think the sound quality was worse on much of the music I listen to. (Only listened with my H8's)

For The apple music they still have to develop the direct play feature. That wasn't available at all from apple at launch but now they brough those functions with sonos into beta stage i think

I am hoping B&O will add that via update in a few month, am not a huge fan of spotify neither do i want sonos.

wIthiut that airplaying from itunes to the essence should work. Even pausing it for a longer time. Just when you close itunes or let comouter go to standby, there is a point where it will break the connection to the airplay device and then restaring would not work i guess.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hi,

I use Apple Music (AM) with my BS Essence 1st generation and AM starts in the last list when I press the play button on  the Essence. Anyway, the computer has to be switched on, but for me is enough for now.

I prefer AM to Spotify and I hope that B&O will integrate it in the new BeoLink concept.
