Hi,
another one of my random questions, given the low price of Beolab 3500's nowdays would they be able to handle the steam, heat and moisture in a bathroom enviroment.
I am not bothered about the wiring hassle, easy to just pop it through the ceiling and back down to the Beosound in the bedroom.
Just an idea...electronics and water are never the best of foes...
...brownie points from 'she who must be obeyed' are always helpful to top up the deficit from my 'Penta' purchase!

I've used BeoLab 3500s in 2 of my bathrooms for many years now. I've never had a problem with them. I never touch the control panel directly but rather have Beo4 remotes on the walls for control.

Same here. Using BL3500 in the bathroom for many years.Even after excessive showers with closed windows BL3500 is still working.
BeoSound 9000 MK3, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 6000, BeoLab 3500, LCS9000, BeoLab 11, BeoLab 7.2, BeoLab 7.1, Beolab 4 PC, BeoCenter 2300, BeoSound Century, BeoSound 8, Beosound 2, BeoVision 7-40 MK2 , BeoVision 7-32 MK3, BeoVision 6-22, BeoVision 4-42, BeoMedia 1, BeoCom 4, BeoLink 1000, BeoLink 5, BeoLink 4 & BeoTime
The BL3500 may well be fine, but bear in mind that it is obviously not intended to be installed nor used in a wet area. If some kid or visitor sprays it over and electrocutes himself, it won't help much if the speaker is still working.
