Dear all, I recently had a disappointing experience with my beocenter 2-26. Having recently bought a Masterlink gateway I wanted a software update so that the beocenter would communicate properly with the gateway. To cut a long story short the software update failed and dealer had to roll back to a different software version. When I got the set home the HD-DVI input had stopped working properly due to a hdcp issue that was not occurring with the previous software version. I was obviously quite annoyed as I had lost rather than gained functionality but there wasn't really anything to be done as the engineer said there was likely an issue with the chassis. Fortunately I can across this widget http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004F9LVXC/?tag=hotoge-21 which connects between my Apple TV and the DVI port. It is a cheap hdmi splitter which seems to filter off the hdcp handshake (I'm fairly sure that is total nonsense - I've no idea how it works but it does work) with the result that I can now watch Netflix again. Annoying to have to buy another box to get things working again but it may be of use to others who are struggling with hdcp issues on older beovisions.

In the service menu you should set the TV to double buffer. You shouldn't need that box.

I'm surprised that such a cheap box could bypass the HDCP. For a 720p/1080i BeoVision 4 that I have, I had to get an HDFury box to bypass the HDCP of an Apple TV 3. Furthermore, because the BeoSystem 1 connected to the BeoVision 4 supports 1080i but not 720p, I had to buy a special scaler to scale the signal from the Apple TV 3 to 1080i.
