Replacing the caps in my Beomaster 1200. Was hoping not to have to take the whole thing apart, but the back of some of the 100uF caps (301, 367, 317, 379) on the preamplifier board are covered by the din socket board. What to do:
A) Desolder the din socket board and remove.
B) Work on removing the whole preamplifier board. Looks like I'll have to at least desolder it from connections to several other boards.
C)There is another way?

OK, I eventually figured it out. Didn't actually take from May 2015-Jan 2016; just took that long to find the time to finish this project :)
Took off the wooden trim, just find these four bits and remove:
Then removed the rear part of the chassis (the four silver screws and 2 more on the other end). Could then gain access to all caps:

Yes, it needs a lot of dissassembly to get access to the parts...
Hmmmm, you have a circuit sheet?
Try to replace the tantal caps in the sound path with newer caps... even elkos sound better. I used some MKS styrol caps... the sound is superb, no comparison to the old system.
I am working with a kit from Dillen, so figuring I have all I need. All the dark yellow tantalum caps are replacements. The old ones were green and some were red.
Almost finished now, just figuring out the polarity of the 3000uf caps. The old ones were not well marked (started another thread about that). Then I'll move to adjust trimmers...
