hello

please does anyone know how to connect the sound for the s-video input on the mx6000/ms6000

there doesnt seem to be any phono inputs for sound, so i dont see the point of the s-video input if you cannot get sound into the TV?

The sound goes in on the scart socket, Left channel on pin 6 Right channel on pin 2 Earth on pin 4.

As far as I remember the s-video can also be feed via the scart connector, so with the right cable/adapter you can input both video and audio in the scart connector.

yes but i already am using the scart socket for another input

on all other tvs i know the s-video socket has phono sockets for audio nearby, so if i have to use the scart socket for the audio then i have to unplug whatever i have plugged into my scart socket, which sort of makes the s-video not viable as a second connection, as why would i use s-video when i can use rgb on the main scart socket anyway, doesnt seem a very good design considering the quality and price of these tvs

also if there's s-video on the scart socket anyway using an s-video to scart connector, then that sort of voids the point of the s-video socket on the tv doesnt it, considering as it doesnt have an exclusive sound input for it

is there any splitter connector i can use so i can use the scart socket, and also have the sound fed in from another source for the s-video, so i can utilise both connections at the same time?

thanks for your help
