I came across a video on youtube, and it turns out that it is possible to stream music to multiple bluetooth speakers at once.
You will have to do the following:
In System Preferences, go to Bluetooth, then pair all your speakers.
Then in Applications, open Utilities, and open Audio MIDI Setup.
Here you will press + in the bottom, and choose to create a Multi output device.
Then you choose the bluetooth speakers you want to have in your bluetooth multiroom setup.
Start playing music, and now hold down the alt-key (option key), press the speaker icon in the toolbar, and select Multi Output Device.
TADA! Now you are streaming your music to multiple bluetooth speakers.
Known issues and tips
-Volume down on the speakers will not work (but from the Beoplay app you can control the volume of each speaker individually)
-The music must be coming from the mac, but you can use spotify connect on your phone to change the music via spotify connect.
