My kids bought me an A2 for my birthday, one of the best presents ever! I love it. My husband was so impressed with it he has now bought one for himself. The thing is, I just can't set them up together for stereo sound. I have tried to make mine the main speaker, I wait for the third beep noise, and then when I try to connect my husbands one his just remains flashing the blue light.
I have tried starting from scratch again, asking my phone to forget the speakers, turning my phone off and then starting all over again trying to make my husbands speaker the main speaker. When I do this I can't even get the three beeps on his speaker. His speaker just flashes the blue light.
I can however play music from my phone through either one or the other speaker.
I have tried all of the above with our laptop as well with the same result, a fail!
Can anyone tell me if I am doing something wrong?
please update the software/firmware to the latest version.

How do I do that please.

Welcome to Beoworld!
I also have an A2 and are very happy with it.
As mentioned you need to update the firmware. Look here where you can download the installer program. That will open a video explaining how to do it.
You need to take off the speaker fret on one side of the A2, and attach a micro USB cable . The video will explain how.
For easy pairing with another A2, check out the Beoplay App here

Did you manage to update and pair the speakers?
Its a good practice in a forum to report back. That will help others.
No, I haven't done anything as yet. I was going to reply on this forum today anyway as I have another question before downloading any software. When I read the terms and conditions of the download, if I understand correctly, it will cancel out any warranty of my product? If that right? It puzzles me that I'm told the product needs it's software keeping up to date, but that doing so negates my warrantee. I am not particularly technical, maybe a bit more so than my husband, 😊, but I am a bit of an aged challenged granny and a little nervous about tackling this and getting it wrong. I don't want to ruin an expensive bit of equipment!
Please can someone
A) tell me if I'm right about the warranty
B) give me dummy proof instructions! 😀
Oh, and by the way, I have a Nexus 6 Android phone so don't believe the Beo app is available to me?
dalesponyrider: A) tell me if I'm right about the warranty
The wording does not say that you will void the warranty, so no worries. This is standard wording.
dalesponyrider: B) give me dummy proof instructions! 😀
The video that comes with the download is "dummy proof" I would say. Just choose windows or mac and download. Then follow instructions and the video will pop open and give detailed instructions.
Right guys!
Success! Thank you so much for your patience with this old Granny! I downloaded the software updater and followed the instructions. Scared of taking A2 cover off in case I broke it but all went smoothly. I am now sat between the two speakers playing some fabulous music in wonderful stereo!
Thank you once again.
Linda
Glad to be of help Linda!
Enjoy your A2:s
