HI everyone,

Couldn't find old posts on this particular point. I really don;t want to have to part with this as spares if i can possibly help it. I always feel bad not giving much back to the forum and taking your wealth of experience.

i was about to post a completely different question about my cd not spinning but then i moved my 9300 a few inches to check the back and at that moment it was as if a fuse blew, the doors inched their way into the closed position and now it just keeps "clicking"  and flashing  "timer" top left. Feels like the power is getting through for half a second after each click which explains the doors inching their way shut each time they got power.

I have checked all the fuses on the back by the transformer with a meter and they are all fine. it is however behaving as though i had just yanked one of these fuses out ( i did this a few days earlier and it behaved exactly the same way when the 2.5amp was removed .. or it might have been the 4amp)

Any pointers welcomed.

As you can tell i don't know my way around the electronics side of things; happy to swap out components etc but investigation / root cause analysis i can't do.

Dan
