Hi beolovers,
I decided to repair missing rosewood veneer on my Beomaster 5000. Fortunately, the veneer is relatively thick (circa 0,5mm) and can be processed very good.
I did not have a source of rosewood veneer, but I found, that veneer of the same structure is on inner side of wooden cabinet. I decided to take piece of veneer from non visible part and to transplant it on visible side.
Result is quite good, there is some difference in colour (inner veneer was hidden from sunlight), that can disappear with time and exposure to light. Surface feeling is perfect with palpation.

Looks like you have made a good match with the grain if the wood. The camera flash makes any different colours look more than they are. If it did want darkening you could put a dab of darker dye on it. A tip I have learnt is a slightly darker repair is not as noticeable as a light repair. I have repaired smaller damage with Wax repair sticks, Just melt it on with a solder iron. Let wax cool for 24hours before levelling off with a credit card. Level it any sooner and you risk it shrinking.

My succes was, that there is the same veneer on inner side of tha cabinet, that can be used.
That is an excellent repair. You were lucky to have a spare piece of wood inside to use.
