Hi, new to the forum, but have been browsing through several good posts, since I suddenly found an interest in old b&o-gear
I just bought my second beomaster 900k. It was very cheap, as it had a serious hum. I replaced the big 1000 uf capat the power supply, and the hum was gone. Easy fix.
Everything is absolutely fine, except that the left speaker produces way too much bass. The whole cabinet resonates a lot, if I don´t turn the bass control to a minimum.
Just a guess? Could the two large 800 uf caps at the rear panel be responsible for this? Inside the cabinet, there was a little brown envelope with a schematic, and a guide for installing the stereo decoder module, ad I can see that the two 800 uf caps, are connectede to the output transistors, so ´m thinking they could be part of the problem?
Any ideas?
Btw. Where I come from, 800 uf caps are at bit hard to come by. Would 1000uf do the job?
Best regards
