I have a Beolink 5000 remote with faulty display (pixels missing), apart from this, absolutely top condition. Cleaning the remote, the Display went loose. Looking at the wiring and the housing, it seems, that the Display could be replaced.
Anybody knows if this is possible, any experiences?
Checking the old glue which has been used to glue the display and housing together, it seems to be the double sided tape analog to the one which has been used for the e. g. Beosystem glaspanels.
Any experiences with re-glueing such a display?

The display is not replaceable on its own - it is attached to the motherboard and would be a very delicate operation to remove.
I recently bought one in exactly that condition (i.e loose screen but otherwise perfect). I used super-glue gel to fix the screen back in place. Three very small drops on the outside edges were all that were needed (one on the top and another on each side) and I just left the tape in place. It is now secure and you cannot see the glue.
I have heard of people replacing the double sided tape but I would imagine that this is quite fiddly - and you need to be very careful not to damagae the ribbon connector between screen and motherboard - hence move it as little as possible.
It is worth cleaning the screen before glueing in place - easier to get up to the edges, but again be careful with the ribbon connector!

thanks for your support! I have a double sided tape, because I wanted to try it on a BM 4500 glass panel. But in this case, I guess the glue could be the better solution.
After taking the picture I put the display back into its frame, being aware that it is a sensible connection.
I guessed, that the connection between display and motherboard might be a plug, not pure soldering? Apart from this, I doubt that there will be too many displays on the market. It seems to have a lot more BL 5000 in need of a display than the other way round .........

the display is cleaned and glued back into its frame:
I let the old tape rest inside as recommended and took UHU Super Glue (I could get no gel):
Voilá!
Unfortunately, there is a "but" :
I took a bit too much of the glue and had to clean it away. Once glued back, the display is functioning as before. Then I recognized a small line running approximately 1 cm over the right side of the display from top down. I must have touched the display with the glue rests somehow . It is not disturbing the display view, but I would like to get rid of it, if possible. Any recommendations how to do this are really welcomed. On the manufacturer´s site of the glue they offer a glue remover which contains Propylencarbonat, which is no good for some plastics, e. g. PVC. Do you know what kind of material the display consists of?
