Hi

I searched high and low before posting this

Cay you use a HDD (like a USB one) with the moment?  The encore had this feature, or is it all wireless NAS?

It's for my dad... he still wants to play CDs .  I will take him through the ripping of them, but he still thinks that's too difficult.

Thanks in advance.

No sorry Michael,.. A freestanding USB connected memory disk or HDD alone won't work.

You always have to point the Moment to a DLNA source, that could be a PC or a server or a NAS with Twonky on it.

Per example: use an old laptop, connect it to your network as you do with the Moment, and install Twonky server program on the laptop. Give Twonky a exclusive name to find it on your network and connect a USB HDD with your music files. Next point Twonky server to the music files directory on the extra USB drive, give Twonky server some time to create a music library and point the Moment in its menu to the laptop and Twonky's given name on your network.

That answer Chris is the reason why I don't consider a Moment.

It's a shame it doesn't have a USB drive and I'm with Michael's father on that one.

Honestly - I'd go for a second life BeoSound in that case.

Don't create problems, that can't be solved that easy.

Thanks everyone for their replies 👍🏼

I think he will go a different route now. He still wants a CD player.
