hi I have a pair off beolabs 5000 the problem is one of the display panals are not working told it could be a lose conecter but checking the display panal lome to the board all seems ok ? I would like to know if there is somethink else I should look for thank for any help
Hi lotus73jps,
This could be as simple as having the wrong version of cable connected. Beolab 5000 (and other speakers with displays, ie. 3000, 4500 and Penta) all need to use the thicker "fully wired" Powerlink mk.2 cables to get the displays working:-

Kind regards, Steve.

hi steve its not the cables I brought a mk 2 cables from you a couple off weeks ago when I brought the 5000 I was told that the display panal sometimes works ? but have had no joy thanks for your help regards shaun
Hi,
No problem, I always like to check the simplest option first, then we can look at the other possible causes! Beolab 5000 should have a switch on the side for Audio/Video/Off, have you tried this in both the upper and middle positions please? (one position should give the display, the other position won't) - these switches can easily get knocked, turning off the display.
Steve at Sounds Heavenly:these switches can easily get knocked, turning off the display
They also sometimes become intermittent I have previously found.
Regards Keith....
hi steve and keith tryed the switches but still no display ? regards shaun
