I got a problem with my beolab 3500. I cant figure out, how to make it play from aux.
I have a beosound 4, where the aux cable is connected to. But it wont play from the beosound 3500.
What am i doing wrong? :-)
Kind regards Thomas.
Hi Thomas (and welcome to Beoworld)
Nothing!
Your BL3500 must have a relatively high software to support the Aux command....
....from memory a version 1.6 chip built in.
Your 3500 is probably too 'old'.
I am not sure, that you can get these never chips nowadays (?)
You'll have to ask a B&O dealer for this.
However, there is a workaround - try activating the 3500 with eg the Radio command and then change the source in the main room to Aux.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
It finally Works. Thank you for the answer. :-)

v3.33 is the latest version for the BL3500 and it is still available.
It is listed as for the mk2 (wireless link enabled) BL3500 but will also fit the original mk1 model - it won't make a mk1 BL3500 wireless capable though, and a mk1 BL3500 with this upgrade will only support ML mode after the upgrade (the software does not contain support for MCL mode).
The part number is 8002944 and it is very straightforward to fit as it contains a complete replacement microprocessor PCB, but this also means it is a little more expensive than the software updates for some other products. UK price is around 95GBP.
Kind Regards,
Martin,
Thanks Martin - as always correct :-)
I did not remember the version history :-(
In this case I would seriiusly advice Thomas to make the update - makes things easier in daily living with the 3500.
