I was brought up in the era of the red+white cables and wanted to update myself about where I am and what I could potentially do. So at the moment, I've got my Mac and it runs the sound to my BeoCenter 9000 at one side of the room (stereo to din), and my BV8 at the other end of the room (vga lead)

  • I'm looking to reorganise the room and I'm thinking i can cut out the middleman, can i run the PC sound through a stereo>R+L cable? (It's on PC on the Beo4)
  • Can I connect my BC9000 and BV8 with the new wireless beolink stuff so that i can use the BV8 as a rear speaker?
  • If I want to record records from the BC9000 to the Mac, should I run it out of the speaker output or is there a din/tape-out plug on the back of the BC9000?

Sorry, probably obvious to someone who knows what's what but I'm reluctant to pull out the units and investigate, especially now that I have a little boy who'll get ideas about ripping thing apart beign ok!

I`d connect BC9000 via BL converter with your BV8. Set BC to A.OPT1 (if possible...) and BV8 to V.OPT1. Now you can control your video sources via BC and vice versa. It is alsp possible to use all speakers simultaneously.

Connect your PC to TAPE input via DIN socket.

Sorry, I don`t know anything about a wireless solution...

Hope this helps
