Hi All
I need some cosmetic cleaning tips please.
I've just inherited a 3500 Amplifier/Receiver & Record Deck from heavy smoking relatives, they owned it since new so it will need a little cosmetic loving.
Any ideas what I can use on the perspex deck lid and amplifier display ?
Many thanks

An impressive cleaning product is Ambersil Groom foaming cleanser. It would be ideal, unless anybody knows better...

I use a spray household cleaner that contains bleach for metalwork, or even a cream cleaner like Cif (also with bleach preferably) for the really grubby stuff, although be VERY careful with the latter as it can remove panel markings if you're not careful! For the wooden trim, the same cleaner will work and then apply some teak oil sparingly to bring it to a shine.
For the lid, remove it and give it a good wash with soap and water inside and out, then give it a once over with window cleaner.
Unfortunately, the smell the unit will give off from its cigarette-coated internals when powered up and warm is unlikely to ever go away...
