have a pair of s 80,however one is marked s 120, having checked components they all match as s80. i wonder if anybody else have had seen this before. does anyone have a spare modelstrip,i,ll buy it.
Hi,According to the Beoworld speaker information -
S80Dimensions W x H x D: 26.5 x 53 x 27.5 cm Weight 9 kg
S120Dimensions W x H x D: 26.5 x 56 x 27.5cm Weight 12 kgVisually they are going to look the same. I would say you probably do have one S80 and one S120. Have you measured your two to compare?

Yes, it would be interesting to see side by side pictures of the two speakers Beoworld member sebbe has to see if the one S80 is actually mislabeled or is really an S120 speaker.Sebbe, can you post a couple of pictures of your speakers?Thanks,sonavor
not all s 120 have 3 cm plastic at the bottom,only series one, series two are the exact size as s 80. however they are 12 kg as s 80 are 9 kg. spoke to b&o in denmark,and he told me that it could be wrong labeling, not the first time it has happend. also i have opened both units and they are identical. they are s 120 and not s 80
I guess that is good news then? You have a pair of S120's instead of S80's. I would still be interested in seeing some pictures of the two you have and the labels.

It's true that some Beovox S120 don't have the grills, but it's very few and, actually, I think it was the very first rather than the last, butI could remember wrong and it's not documented in my notes.Beovox S120 was followed by Beovox MC120.2, which is basically the same speaker (only with aslight connector change for the cable).All Beovox MC120.2 have the grills too and it would've made sense to carry the grills on.
A photo of the innards and serielnumber labels would tell us everything.
