Hi Razlaw,
I always just pop the doors off so that I can clean both sides of the glass and the two black face panels which are otherwise rather difficult to access. Best to wear gloves so you don't cover both sides of the glass with new fingerprints whilst re-attaching them though.
Martin.
ThanksI I will try that. I did not know that they popped off that easily. Although now that you mention it, I remember putting them on when I first purchased it 12-14 year ago.

Just one word of caution - I've never had any issues popping the doors off although I have seen instances of the clips becoming detached from the doors and needing to be glued back on (I have seen doors where this has happened, but have not seen how it occurred).
My method for removing the doors has always been to wave my hand in front to open them, then remove the power whilst they are open. I then grab both the top and bottom outer corners of one door and pull the glass forwards towards me, thus levering both clips out of their sliding retainers in one action. I've always felt there is much more risk of the clips becoming detached from the glass if you try to remove the top and bottom clip from a door separately as it is then likely you will end up applying a twisting force to whichever clip remains attached.
I think it must be international beocleaning week, as I currently have several sets of frets hung up to dry after leaving them to soak in the bath today!
I never thought of cleaning frets like that. What model speaker frets do clean that way?

Any of the frets that are constructed of fabric stretched over a plastic frame. So BL8000, BL9, BV10, Avant CRT etc. I also wash frets that are fabric stretched over a metal frame in the same way, eg BL3500, BL4000, early BV6 but I tend to just give these a quick dip and not to let them soak and only do these on a warm sunny day when they can be dried quickly as I worry the frames will rust if left wet for too long.
In both cases I just fill the bath with lukewarm water and add some laundry detergent.
