I use my Beovision 7-32 to control a Humax 5000c (I have also connected a 5050c) to my Beovision 7 through PUC3. All works wel exept when I tun the TV off the Humax never turns off (I tried all standby settings; 30 minutes, 0 minutes and Standby). However when I turn the TV on it actually switches the Humax off if it is allready manually turned on. If the Humax is off the TV will turn it on when the TV is turned on.

The Humax is connect to AV3(DTV) with IR output 3.

The behaviour is the same with the 5000c as with the 5050c.

Can anybody help me?

Can't explain everything that seems to be happening with your set-up, but if there has been a power failure or something has been unplugged then the set top boxes can get out of sequence so TV off causes STB on and vice versa.

Turn on the TV then turn on the STB manually or with its own remote. Then the next Beo4 turn-off should turn off both.

Which version / type number of the BV7-32 do you have?

Is the box connected via Scart, HDMI (if applicable), or both?

Have you tried a different scart cable? If memory serves me correctly, the STB-C uses pin 8 to detect whether the attached box is on or off - if this signal is not getting through to the TV then it would likely think the box was off all the time which could result in the behaviour you are seeing - ie it would try to turn the box on, but would never try to turn it off as it thinks it is already off.

Martin.

I have the mki. The box is connected through scart. I tried a second scart cabke as suggested but also does not work.

To ad to the mystery; I have exchanged the set to a MK3 and have connected the settop box through hdmi to DVI and the problem remains the same. This set has different OFF options for the STB control and I tried them all.

Also when pressing menu I do not get the STB menu put the DVI picture adjustment menu. Any way to get around this?

This is the normal behavior until the TV is updated to SW 30.xx. On my next BV7-32 I will update to the latest SW 30.08 too to get around this.

Same here with a Technisat S2 HD. Everything works fine except on and off. I have to do it manually by pressing Go+0. No idea why this is that way as Go+0 is nothing else then on/off.
