Hi

I have a Beogram 1200 type5214 that I would like to restore for my mom.

I live in South Africa and I cant find any service centre to assist. I know the fan belt has gone, but suspect something else might also be wrong. I can hear a humming when I switch it on, but dont think the motor is running. ANY advice would be greatly appriciated!

Regards

Hi you will need to strip down and reassemble the motor as the original oil has all gone now you need to use synthetic oil you also need to get the oil into the sintered bearing either through using a vacuum or boiling them in oil,

there may be other problems as well but you will have to do this for sure tho

Hi,

Also from South Africa, and restored a 1200 two years back. Happy to help if you have questions...you'll need to start by ordering a new belt, and reoiling the motor.
