So, it has been many years since I have been in the B&O world and purchased a Beomaster 5500 for the pre amp outputs along with 6500 components (beocord/beogram CD) but they are not working as an integrated system.  Is there a way to make them all talk together or will I need to find 5500 components?  I swear that 6500 pieces would work with a 5500 but it isn't happening.

You might hav put the cd in the tape and vice Versace. Try changing them.

For both Beocord & Beogram CD, it should "just work". I bet the previous owner(s) has socialized pins 6 & 7 from the DIN plugs.

Thank you both for your answers.  I'm not sure what that means.  It plays so I know I have things plugged into the right locations but I have no functionality through the remote.  Also get no information through the remote on the media.

Does the BM5500 react to the remote at all?

Yes, the BM5500 is functioning with the remote.  Just not the CD6500 or BC6500.

Check the pins in the DIN plugs. You will need to have at least 6 pins in both!

Both the CD and Tape Deck have 7 pin din connectors.
