While browsing eBay, I saw that several listing for red Beoplay 2 have appeared. They have "Supreme" on the grills in large, white letters. The cost for this is insane -- usually around $1,000 USD. I did a google search and it seems that there is a limited edition of these for a company called "Supreme X." I had never heard of this. What do we know about it? Is the sound quality any better than usual to justify this price? These are absolutely HIDEOUS! How is it that B&O has stooped so very low?

I have to agree that this is hideous because of the big white Supreme on it. I would lbuy a red BeoPlay A2 from B&O, but I certainly wouldn't pay $1000 for it!  I've never heard of the company Supreme X, so I don't understand a desire to pay 2.5 times more for an A2 that advertises this company... maybe Buscemi's Pizza!!! This ?  I guess it has a very specific market in mind and that isn't the typical Beoworlder.

if you follow this link http://magnusmendax.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/bang-olufsen-beoplay-a2-supreme-edition.html it appears that the list price is £400 (compared with £300 normally).  The $1,000 price tag seems to be secondhand reflecting limited quatities. Whether anyone actually pays this is another matter

It looks pretty awesome. I love the red color. The logo isn't bad either, nice shape and probably means a lot in the skating community. I've seen the A2 more than once by skate parks, which is quite fun too. B&O play has been adapted in so many ways, its fun to see.

Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2,
BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century,
BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i,
BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40,
BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)

Yup, it's not for us - that's for sure!

Get's the B&O brand out there. At least the younger generation are getting to hear the name - which is always a good thing!

It's not what I'd have in my home, but I'm all for it.

Totally agree with Lee on that!

If B&O Play would only make products suiting the taste of some Beoworlders, they would soon be gone.

Cone on, B&O/B&O Play belongs to the world, not to a few guys writing on Beoworld.

I started skateboard in 1976/1977 before bmx in 1981. That's why I love this red A2 !

I like the color. It's just the huge logo that hurts my eyes. It makes me think of the people who pimp out their cars with huge logos on the windows. I would never do that to my Porsche. I let the form speak for the car's beauty.

Fantastic advertisement for B&O in terms of robustness, durability, trendy, out there - and if it gets buyers in young then so much the better. Future generations may say they got into B&O through skateboarding rather than listening to a friends system or grandad had one etc.

I wouldn't have one but i do think it's cool

In a special promotion like this, how many of these units end up in the hands of the target customer?

I wonder how many people have purchased this just because they want a red BeoPlay A2?  I also wonder how many of these were available to purchase from Supreme X. It looks like there could be many of them purchased by people who just turn around and sell it on eBay to make a big profit.  This would certainly limit the available to the young skateboarders on a budget!

Since B&O already has tooled up to make this red A2, maybe red can be one of their Fall/Winter colors for 2016!

I wonder if one might be able to safely scrub off the white lettering....

I also like the color.

Just replace the Supreme logo by the B&O logo and it will look fantastic.

But who will be buying them off e-bay if not skaters who couldn't get them new? Not all skaters are kids with no cash.
