Hello,

I have an updated BV7-40 MKII SW 7.94 and the PUC table was updated too.

I use a Technisat Digit S2 HD and have very limited access via PUC. The only functions that work are Ok, Program up/down, Volume up/down and the green button. None of the other keys work.

In PUC menu I selected the Technisat Digicorder, but also tried Technisat ISIO. The working keys are restricted to the ones named above.

An Apple TV 2 is working correct on this TV using the Apple Remote PUC.

Any idea what is wrong ?

Martin

Thanks André. I already have it.

What I don't understand is that every other key I press opens the channel list.

E.g. pressing go+1 opens the channel list. go+2 opens the channel list. Even go+3 and g+4 opens the channel list. This is strange.

I already changed the PUC connection to another C-Connector, changed the ir emitter cable, reset the tv.

Hi,

can you confirm that you have HDMI/DVI and SCART connected?
If there is no SCART connection (and therefore no signal on pin 7) the PUC gets confused on pre-BS3 TV's.
If this is the case the GO+xx commands won't work and it is also impossible to manually type in digits greater than 9.

BR,
BeoMotion.

Hello BeoMotion,

I only connected hdmi/dvi and a scart plug with pins 2,4 & 6 for analog audio in.

Not only the GO+xx commands aren't working, even the single numbers doesn't work.

But why Pin 7, which is Blue in 0.7 Vpp 75 ohms ?

Ups, sorry. My fault. Of course it's pin 8. I suggest you directly connect an original SCART cable for testing.
Had the same problems a couple of years back and was very annoyed until I found out that the PUC relies on the SCART signal for on/off detection. If this is missing strange things are happening...

ok, I will put an additional cable on pin 8 from the dvb-s receiver's scart to pin 8 of the tv's scart, but not today anymore.

but why is the apple tv 2 working without any problem ?

I think I tried the same. Maybe I counted the pins in working direction, but this didn't work for me. With a standard scart cable it worked like a charm.

Hm, that sounds logical. The receiver was working correct on my BV6-22 connected by scart only with the same PUC table flashed by my dealer on the same day.

I'll try a cable from pin 8 to pin 8. Otherwise I'll have to find a way to put a scart cable through the little hole in the wall. The TV stands in front of a wall and any additional equipment is mounted behind this wall. All the cables go through this little hole. I'll have to desolder the scart plug and solder it back on after putting the cable through the wall. Much work for simply connecting an external dvb-s receiver to the BV7.

Tested a little bit further today.

The Technisat receiver takes keys from number 1 to 9, but you have to wait 30secs until the receiver reacts to them. So you press button 1 on the Beo4f or example, wait 30secs and after that the receiver changes to channel 1.

Never realised this before. Who waits 30 secs if anything is going on ?

What could this be ?

Is this related to what BeoMotion mentioned ?

BeoMotion found the solution for my problem. Thank you very much ! Smile

The Technisat receiver was connected with hdmi/dvi and only two shielded wires for analog audio to scart-av.

As BeoMotion mentioned connection on pin 8 of the scart-av was missing.

Today I added a shielded cable - inner wire connects pin 8, shielding connects pin 14 (ground).

Now I got full control of the Technisat.

Thanks everybody for your support.
