I have an RX-2 turntable.  When the tonearm reaches the end of the record, it returns to the original position.  The tonearm, however, fails to lift sufficiently and scratches part of the record.  (Annoying!!!)  This occurs even with a flat record.  The cueing also seem to lift insufficiently.  Perhaps the issues are related.  Any ideas/ suggestions/ thoughts?

I'm new to this forum.  Thanks for any response.

Your cueing height adjustment may be set too low.  DO NOT play another record until you identify the problem!  You could damage the stylus or cantilever!  This MAY be an easy fix.  Near the base of the tonearm, in front of the pivot, you find a brown plastic plate with a small screw sticking straight up about 1/16".  Turn the screw clockwise to raise the arm's cueing height.  Hope this helps.

Check that the mechanism lifting the tonearm is moving up and down sufficiently to lift and lower the tonearm
