Brought down my old Beogram 2200 from the attic (been there 17 years).
Status:
Broken dust cover hinge
White trim on the sides turned yellowish and a bit "sticky"
If I press PLAY nothing happens. If i press TURN the disc turns and the lamp for "33" lits up. If I press and hold TURN and simultaneously press STOP, the tonearm swings in, the single I tested with is lifted up, and the record is played at 33 speed. No reaction if I press 45.
Questions:
1) Is it possible to spraypaint the trims or should I treat them with something first, to get rid of the little "stickyness"?
2) Not being an electronics engineer, is there something I can search for regarding the problems with the start mechanism?
