I have a BEOSound 9000 and just moved.  My remote will not work with the Beosound 9000 anymore, i followed some notes left on the site and I put the 9000 in stand by. held down the stand by button on the remote and pressed the list button,  the remote's display did not flash, I let go of the button and tap the list but the remote did not flash option.  I was able to get to options by pressing list and got to Aoption and I pressed 1 the 9000 did not blink, but now when i press cd it plays cd's but won't change tracks or cd's or will not turn on and off.  PLEASE HELP

Do you have powerlink speakers connected ? The BS9000 will remain in Option 0 as long no speakers are connected.

Hi dshorter,

Welcome to Beoworld!

This does sound as though there may not be any speakers connected to the Beosound, as B&O disabled remote control reception on the 9000 if no speakers are connected.  In this case, you need a Speaker Sense Adapter for the Beosound (this plugs into either Powerlink socket on the Beosound 9000 to allow it to accept commands from the B&O remote control without having B&O speakers connected):-

I do have the BEO link 8000 speakers connected, it worked well until i moved and now will not work, if i hit CD it will play cd's but i have no control in which CD and other functions of the remote,  It was working fine and i moved and disconnected everything and after assembling all the right connections it will not work, i think its just coding,

Hi,

Thanks for this, at least we know the cables should be working Wink

Could it be low batteries in your remote? This guide shows an easy way to check them using your phone camera:-

Please let me know if this solves the problem.

Kind regards, Steve.

Maybe you should add to your guide, that some phones have filters on the camera that removes the IR light:) My iPhone 6 only shows the IR diode "lighting" when using the front facetime camera, and not the main camera at the back :)

1. maybe IR receiver PCB in BS 9000 is defective ( 99% have dry  capacitors specialy MK1 )

2. if BEO4 work on other B&O device than it is BS 9000 fault

3. Try with phone camera all buttons on remote. ( if all working - BS 9000 fault )

than we can go on ...to other options..
