Just wondered if someone could help I've just updated my Sky Q PUC to the latest software but now I've lost full control of my sky q box. Any suggestions how I can get my old software back on?

Same!!! WTF!!!!
This is RUBBISH. I feel bad for you. Do let us know what you learn from BeoCare so that we know when the right time to upgrade is. I don't want to be bricked as my Sky Q silver box is in the Garage.

Astonishing. I'd be heavily cheesed off is this happened to me. Any word from your dealer(s)?

No responce from my dealer yet.
StUrrock:Not only RUBBISH, it's embarrassing. B&O stop being control freaks and give your dealers the tools to write their own PUCS! Then you may be ahead of the game instead of being constantly behind!
w5bno123:There is a PUC tool generator for dealers to use if they wish, it's been around for a couple of years now it's called PUC tool 3.

This is ridiculous, it's one thing having such a poor testing process that they release a completely duff version, but taking days to fix the issue when all they need to do is a simple version rollback is astonishing. They should be sweeping these forums continuously after releasing new software to be as efficient as possible in identifying and solving any issues that may arise.
Just had a responce
B&O are aware of the issue and looking for the route of the issue
Any more news?
Nope checking daily!!
Really bad form from B&O like everyone else said surly the smart thing to do is to immediately offer a downgrade to the previous PUC code.
Almost makes you think twice about updating software if you end up being to use it!
Annoyingly for my my Sky Box is upstairs and the bluetooth remote isn't great because of the distance!!
The whole point of Software updates is to make great products even better but after seeing some threads on the new BV14 it seems B&Os idea is to release products with teething problems use software updates to give them time to sort.
Almost want to just buy a BV7-55 and not have to worry!
w5bno123:I believe it's Cisco and there have been so many issues with these boxes, IR codes seem to differ from box to box
StUrrock:Why not write a PUC for the sky q using your puc tool 3 and upload it to the forum so users can load your pic into their TVs by USB. Using the excellent beo5/6 iPad app I've already done it for my beo6 @ home. I'm sure they would appreciate that.
Annoying how My Beovision 10 sky q puc still works fine as does the Logitech remote for my bedroom!!!
only the most expensive and most technologically advanced bit of equipment thats faulty
Nah I don't believe that, I think they are just covering their backs for taking so long to fix it. I spoke to a dealer at the start of last week and they said Beocare have known about it since a day after it started happening and they will be releasing a new version at the start of this week, which has obviously passed now.

Guys
Finally Beocare have sent me the previous PUC version 3.04

They advise to delete the current version before installing the previous PUC via USB
If theres a way to upload to here more than happy to help
Can't you upload files in your profile on here?
I would of thought that the Q boxes are made by AMSTRAD as SKY OWN Amstrad as of two years ago.
Interestingly, as of yesterday the all of the standard HD Sky+ boxes are now DISCONTINUED and the Q BOX is the only Sky box from now on for the sky people. Horrendously old expensive way to watch traditional TV though guys.
Seanie_230:Thank goodness Saves me getting an ear bashing at home and getting out of bed to get he right angle for the sky IR to blast behind the IT blaster as I didn't want to take it off My PUC on my Bv7 is from one of the early versions where since sky updated the Q box software you have to double press everything, will this be resolved if my dealer uses 3.06 to make a new one? Works great so far and has also resolved the lag issue.
Can anyone confirm the new version works fine on the Avant 55?

The Sky Q box is NOT made by Cisco.
