Just wondered if someone could help I've just updated my Sky Q PUC to the latest software but now I've lost full control of my sky q box. Any suggestions how I can get my old software back on?

This is RUBBISH. I feel bad for you. Do let us know what you learn from BeoCare so that we know when the right time to upgrade is. I don't want to be bricked as my Sky Q silver box is in the Garage.

Not only RUBBISH, it's embarrassing.

B&O stop being control freaks and give your dealers the tools to write their own PUCS!

Then you may be ahead of the game instead of being constantly behind!

There is a PUC tool generator for dealers to use if they wish, it's been around for a couple of years now Smile it's called PUC tool 3.

That's great news how much is it?

Perhaps the people having problems with the Sky Q should ask the supplying dealer to reprogram the tv with this tool?

This is ridiculous, it's one thing having such a poor testing process that they release a completely duff version, but taking days to fix the issue when all they need to do is a simple version rollback is astonishing. They should be sweeping these forums continuously after releasing new software to be as efficient as possible in identifying and solving any issues that may arise.

Nope checking daily!!

Really bad form from B&O like everyone else said surly the smart thing to do is to immediately offer a downgrade to the previous PUC code.

Almost makes you think twice about updating software if you end up being to use it!

Annoyingly for my my Sky Box is upstairs and the bluetooth remote isn't great because of the distance!!

The whole point of Software updates is to make great products even better but after seeing some threads on the new BV14 it seems B&Os idea is to release products with teething problems use software updates to give them time to sort.

Almost want to just buy a BV7-55 and not have to worry!

Just sent Beocare an email telling them how poor their service is releasing an update that does not work and even more poor they have not offered a roll back as soon as they know.

Appalling customer service!

I believe it's Cisco and there have been so many issues with these boxes, IR codes seem to differ from box to box

Why not write a PUC for the sky q using your puc tool 3 and upload it to the forum so users can load your pic into their TVs by USB.

Using the excellent beo5/6 iPad app I've already done it for my beo6 @ home.

I'm sure they would appreciate that.

Sadly I do not own a Windows machine or an IR oscillator to be able to create PUC codes myself. There also appear to be many complications with different Sky Q boxes even in the same house. Sad

Spoke to a dealer today who escalated this.

After Beocare finally accepted there is a problem a fix will be released very soon.

Weird some people have issues and others don't hence why Bno could not see the issue.

Nah I don't believe that, I think they are just covering their backs for taking so long to fix it. I spoke to a dealer at the start of last week and they said Beocare have known about it since a day after it started happening and they will be releasing a new version at the start of this week, which has obviously passed now.

Why aren't dealers sorting this out with their super duper PUC tool 3?

Is it because they don't know how to use it or just cant be bothered?

We are testing v3.27 on an Avant 55 tomorrow and we will report back our findings to B&O. If satisfied the sw release will happen ASAP.

Hello all

We have tested the new Sky Q PUC today and it worked so a new version has been released this afternoon following our tests. The version is 3.06a for Sky Q.

We have requested that Menu 1 is remapped to TV Guide as it currently goes to the Home screen and you have to scroll upwards. Menu 3 is renamed from Options to Apps.

Otherwise back online!

Thank goodness

Saves me getting an ear bashing at home and getting out of bed to get he right angle for the sky IR to blast behind the IT blaster as I didn't want to take it off

My PUC on my Bv7 is from one of the early versions where since sky updated the Q box software you have to double press everything, will this be resolved if my dealer uses 3.06 to make a new one?

I would of thought that the Q boxes are made by AMSTRAD as SKY OWN Amstrad as of two years ago.

Interestingly, as of yesterday the all of the standard HD Sky+ boxes are now DISCONTINUED and the Q BOX is the only Sky box from now on for the sky people. Horrendously old expensive way to watch traditional TV though guys.

Not sure if this cures the double click on the A1 chassis. I know 'other' software had been written especially for this problem. I will find out for you and revert.

The new Sky Q box is made by Cisco.

It may be an old fashioned and 'expensive' way of watching TV but it sure is still the most reliable way for watching football without any glitches and compromises. I have a Kodi player and it's so annoying trying to stream a match. I have 80 megabit download speed but I presume I am relying on IPTV servers abroad with good bandwidth?
